Since 2000, some changes have been made due to new technology (most access the syllabus online now, and we are moving towards entering online too), and changing personnel on the committee. Some things seemed to be being done 'because that's how they have always been done' which didn't always work in this 21st century world. But for the most part, the festival remains very much the same as it did in the 1920s. The sections and classes have evolved rather than dramatically altered. The concert and prizegiving evening has changed more substantially, but again, not all at once.
